Alien Resurrection

Cockpit Details

The "Betty" cockpit was a conglomeration of many styles and used

electronic surplus, our task as part of Special Effects Supervisor Eric Allard's

effects crew was to complete the assembly and "dress out" the interior of this space ship

Wiring of all the panels was accomplished with a small crew under the

direction of Kim Bailey, Gene Rizzardi and Caius Man

The Cockpit

This view of the cockpit shows the detail that went into this set, every

panel had a series of lights that were controlled by switches to give the

effect that the spaceship could be powered up. That is our Boss

Gene Rizzardi in the Navigators seat.

The Cockpit

You have the helm, Sir! Careful observation shows the details in this

set. The set is rigged for pyrotechnics and movement simulation for

re-entry. There are also C02 and Nitrogen lines for the smoke and steam

effects we all know and love in spaceships.
